Dear members

We had our AGM on Thursday the 29th of November, the only real change is that Mr Hugh Baker is now the membership secretary and I send my thanks to Karen Starr for all her previous hard work and effort during the year.

The main officers for the branch were returned unopposed and a list of them is pinned on the Branch notice board.

I recently received a poem from a olleague  that originated from one of our chaps out in the desert, its written on the same lines as A Night Before Christmas but has a different theme, I've pinned it on the board by the bar if you get five minutes have a read, it says a lot of what we are about.

It just leaves me to say to you all, have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year and thanks for all the support that I have enjoyed through out the year, you know who you are.

And finally when you are tucking into your Christmas dinner with  the family, please remember our boys and girls still out there and raise a glass and wish them well, and a safe return home.
