Chairitable Donation Local company Survey Homes 2000 kindly donated 12 chairs to the Bathford Royal British Legion Club. After recent office refurbishments Survey Homes 2000 Managing Director Peter Appleby decided to donate the chairs to the club. “My father works at the club and during a conversation with him I realised that instead of either throwing the chairs away or trying to sell them, Survey Homes 2000 could donate them as a charitable gesture”.
Bathford RBL Receives The Chairs: Peter Appleby (MD Survey Homes 2000), Chris Skelton (Vice Chair), Esther Bennett, Diana Grimes & David Fortune (Club Chairman) The Bathford Royal British Legion Club's Chairman, David Fortune said: "The Club is overwhelmed with the kind donation of chairs. Our current ones have seen better days and I know for a fact that our members will be thrilled to finally have chairs they can sit on in comfort.” This is not the first time these two organisations have joined forces. Peter Appleby who is also the founder of the local charity “The Ellen Travers Charity for the Medlock Ward, Neurology & Acute Stroke Unit” at the Bath RUH, joined forces with the members of the Bathford Club to raise money for the charity by holding a 24hrs Skittles match.
